Xtra Recipes is a mod by SilentDoom that lets you craft items that normally aren’t craftable in vanilla Minecraft. It adds recipes for unobtainable items, alternative recipes for existing items, and salvage recipes that break things back down into their components. The mod only uses vanilla items so it works cleanly with your existing world and other mods.

What It Adds

The mod splits recipes into four main categories, each can be turned off in the config if you want:

Regular Recipes: Crafting recipes for chain armor, saplings, flowers, vegetation, blocks like mycelium and ice, and hard-to-get items like saddles and name tags
Furnace Recipes: Smelt dead bushes for flint, cook leather, and other furnace options
Mob Egg Recipes: Craft spawn eggs for nearly every mob type without needing to hunt
Salvage Recipes: Break down crafted items back into their original components. Boats, doors, chests, furnaces, and more can be salvaged

Regular Crafting Recipes

Logs from Saplings: Convert saplings from any wood type directly into logs.

Chain Armor: Craft the full set (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) using iron ingots and chains.

Flowers: Make single flowers like poppies, tulips, and daisies. Double tall flowers like sunflowers and lilacs can be crafted too.

Vegetation: Get lily pads, ferns, vines, and tall grass through crafting instead of hunting.

Blocks: Craft mycelium, grass, ice, gravel, sponge, mossy variants, soul sand, end stone, and more.

Other Items: Glowstone dust, experience bottles, saddles, blaze rods, name tags, and all three types of horse armor.

Installation

Download and install Minecraft Forge for your version

Go to your .minecraft folder, then into the mods folder
Drop the jar file into the mods folder
Launch Minecraft with the Forge profile and enjoy
