Warp Book Data Pack (1.17.1, 1.15.2) – Teleport in Minecraft

Warp Book Data Pack lets you teleport to saved locations in Minecraft 1.17.1 and 1.15.2. Craft a warp book and skip the long walks.

Warp Book adds craftable teleportation books to Minecraft without any mod loader. You save a location, then drop or place the book to instantly jump there. It costs XP to use, so it’s balanced and actually fits into survival play.

Recipes

Set Warp Point Book

8 Books + 1 Ender Eye. Right-clicking this in your hand saves your current location and turns it into a Warp Book.

Multiple Warp Book

4 Nether Stars + 4 Set Warp Point Books + 1 Ender Eye. Stores several Warp Books in a single item so you’re not burning inventory slots on every location you’ve saved.

How to Use

  1. Craft a Set Warp Point Book (8 Books + 1 Ender Eye).
  2. Right-click with it to save your current location. It becomes a Warp Book.
  3. Put the Warp Book in your off-hand.
  4. Drop the Warp Book (press Q) to teleport to the saved location.
  5. Alternatively, place it on a lectern and right-click to teleport from there.

Teleporting uses XP. The default rate is 1 XP level per 70 blocks traveled. If you’re short on XP, the teleport fails and you’ll get a message telling you so.

Multiple Warp Book

Once you’ve got a bunch of saved locations, this is what you actually want to use day to day. It’s a bit fiddly to set up but saves a ton of inventory space.

  • To add a Warp Book: hold the Multiple Warp Book in your off-hand, hold the Warp Book to save in your main hand, then jump.
  • To cycle through saved warps: hold the Multiple Warp Book in your off-hand and jump. The current warp name shows above your health bar.

Notes and Configuration

  • Dimension IDs: -1 = Nether, 0 = Overworld, 1 = The End.
  • Teleporting does not work while sneaking.
  • Change the XP rate: /scoreboard players set #BlocksPerXp warp (value)
  • Toggle options: /function warpbook:toggle/(option)
