The Impossible Library is a dependency mod made by Computerizer. If another mod sent you here, this is what it needs to run. It doesn’t add anything you’d interact with in-game directly, it just handles the shared systems that Computerizer’s mods rely on under the hood.
What It Provides
Think of it as a toolkit that other mods tap into. Here’s what it actually handles:
- File creation and manipulation so mods can read and write data to your disk.
- Generic image rendering to display images directly on screen.
- Global NBT data storage and retrieval for keeping persistent data between sessions.
- Radial GUI support with helper methods for building circular menu elements.
- Custom async tick events that can be triggered down to the millisecond.
Requirements
You need either Minecraft Forge or Fabric API installed first. Which one depends on the version you’re downloading. Check the download section below.
How to Install
- Install Minecraft Forge or Fabric for your Minecraft version if you haven’t already.
- Download The Impossible Library for your version from the links below.
- Drop the .jar file into your
.minecraft/modsfolder. - Launch Minecraft with the Forge or Fabric profile. That’s it.
