Takarajima is a big exploration map set on a forgotten Pacific island. Thick tropical forest covers everything, and old WWII Japanese military structures are scattered all over. You’ll find a ghost town, shipwrecks, bunkers, air raid shelters, and tons of details to discover. It’s the kind of map where you can wander around for hours and keep finding new stuff.
Map Features
Military Fortifications
The island is loaded with Japanese WWII structures. Multiple bunkers are spread across the terrain, with air raid shelters carved into the hills and a massive underground shelter beneath the mountain. There’s also a barracks area with a huge radio tower, anti-air defensive guns, and other military equipment. Everything looks weathered and authentic.
Shipwrecks and Ghost Town
Three shipwrecks sit around the island’s coast, each one has its own character. There’s also a ghost town hidden somewhere on the map that’s supposed to be pretty eerie. Exploring both of these locations is the real draw for adventurers.
Custom Forest
This isn’t just vanilla Minecraft trees and grass. The map includes a fully custom forest with tons of different plant types and tree varieties scattered around. It makes the whole environment feel much more immersive and realistic.
Caves
Some caves are hidden around the island, giving you more places to poke around and explore.
Version Compatibility
This map works with Minecraft versions 1.5.2 through 1.12.1. If you’re on a newer version, things might not load properly, so stick with these versions for the best experience.
