Sword Blocking Addon for Minecraft 1.20 & 1.19
Ever wish you could actually defend yourself with a sword instead of just swinging it? This addon brings back sword blocking. Sneak while holding a sword and you’ll block 80% of melee damage and 99% of arrow damage. No more getting mauled by mobs when you’re trying to be tactical.
What Does It Do?
The addon adds sword blocking mechanics to Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Hold a sword in your main hand, sneak, and damage reduction kicks in automatically.
Damage Reduction Stats:
- Melee damage: 80% blocked
- Projectile damage (arrows): 99% blocked
- Splash potion damage: no protection
How to Use It:
- Equip any sword in your main hand
- Press sneak (shift by default)
- That’s it. You’re now blocking
Compatibility
Works with any sword that’s actually named “sword” in its code. This includes vanilla swords and most custom sword addons. The addon uses GameTest, so it doesn’t conflict with other mods.
Supports all Bedrock devices: Windows 10, iOS, Android, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
