Rule Villages Addon
Rule Villages overhauls Minecraft villages with a whole new layer of strategy. You get a village controller that manages resources from different professions, plus specialized village guards and enhanced iron golems. The catch? Placing a controller attracts illager raids that are actually dangerous.
Core Features
Village Controllers
The controller is a statue-like structure that acts as a resource hub for your village. Place one inside a village and it automatically collects items from all 13 villager professions. Having a controller increases raid chances (roughly once every 18 Minecraft days), making village defense important.
You can interact with emerald blocks or nether stars to customize behavior. Emerald blocks give you 15 days of chunk loading so your village keeps producing while you’re away. Nether stars eliminate raid danger but remove chunk loading. Dragon eggs let you chunk load forever with normal raid risks still in place.
Village Guards
Hire guards by placing an iron block near adult villagers. They’ll equip full iron armor, a crossbow, and an iron sword. You can control them with different modes. Patrol mode keeps them roaming the village. Sentinel mode locks them in place with ranged attacks. Following mode (for tamed guards) makes them stay close like a wolf.
Feed them cooked meat or baked potatoes for healing. Give them iron ingots for strength and armor repair. Wooden hoes remove them entirely. They’re immune to fall damage and can breathe underwater.
Enhanced Iron Golems
Golems are now craftable and way more useful. Ride them to move large amounts of items around, or activate their advanced functions. With a copper block, you can unlock mining mode (breaks blocks in a 5×3 area) or cannon mode (fires explosive bolts). They won’t roam randomly anymore but will stay put until you need them.
Illager Raids
Raids are much tougher with the controller in place. Ravagers get ranged explosive attacks. Every minute they launch TNT vexes that explode near targets, so hiding underground doesn’t work. Other illagers launch TNT vexes every 3 minutes. You’ll need guards and golems to actually defend.
Transport
MULES (Multi Utility Land Engine) are craftable vehicles with chest inventory space. They’re immune to fire, lava, and fall damage, and they float in water. Fuel them to move supplies around your base or between locations.
TNT minecarts can load chunks and carry items by rail, giving you automated transport routes.
How to Install
Download the .mcaddon or .mcpack file and tap it to open in Minecraft. The game will import it automatically. Then create a new world (or open an existing one) and turn on the addon in your world settings.
