Rule Control Mod Overview
Minecraft’s gamerules control how your world works. Don’t want weather? Turn off DoWeatherCycle. Sick of mobs? Disable DoMobSpawning. Hate night? Freeze the daylight cycle. The problem is remembering all these command names and values. Rule Control Mod (1.20.4, 1.20.1) fixes that. It adds a GUI where you just click buttons to toggle rules on and off. No command syntax to memorize. Open it with /rulecontrol menu or the shortcut /rc menu. You also get text fields for numeric values like spawn radius and sleep percentage. Everything’s organized into tabs so you’re not drowning in options.
What This Mod Does
GUI Menu
The main feature is a clean interface for gamerule management. Open the menu and you see buttons for common toggles. Click to turn rules on or off. No console commands needed. The interface sorts rules into categories, so you’re not scrolling endlessly. Text input fields let you set numeric values when needed.
Commands
You get a few commands to manage things:
/rulecontrol menuor/rc menu– Opens the main GUI/rc restoreor/rulecontrol restore– Resets all gamerules to defaults/rc settingsor/rulecontrol settings– Opens settings panel
Customization
You can password-protect the GUI using the config file (rule_control_config.toml) in your game directory. Set a keybind in the keybind settings to open the GUI without typing commands. The config file handles most customization needs.
Requirements
This mod needs either Minecraft Forge or NeoForge depending on your version:
- Minecraft Forge (for most versions)
- NeoForge (for 1.20.4)
How to Install
Installation is straightforward if you already have a mod loader set up:
- Download and install Forge or NeoForge for your Minecraft version
- Download the Rule Control Mod file from the links below
- Drop the .jar file into your .minecraft/mods folder
- Launch Minecraft and the mod will load automatically
