How do I choose my respawn point after dying?

When you die, a menu appears listing up to 10 beds you've previously slept in plus the world spawn. Just click the one you want to respawn at.

Can I add a spawn point without sleeping in a bed?

Yes. Use the command /addSpawnPoint [player] [x y z] [dimension] to manually add any location as a spawn point.

Does this mod work on multiplayer servers?

Yes, but the mod needs to be installed on the server as well as the client. Singleplayer just needs the .jar in your mods folder.

How many beds does the mod track?

By default it tracks the last 10 beds you've slept in. This is configurable in the mod's config file.

Does it work with other mods that change respawn behavior?

Respawn Location Picker fixes one of the most annoying things about survival Minecraft. When you die, instead of getting auto-dumped at your last bed or the world spawn, a menu pops up and you pick where to go. If you’ve been playing for a while and have beds spread across your world, this one’s actually worth it.

How It Works

Pick Your Respawn on Death

The mod keeps track of the last 10 beds you’ve slept in. When you die, you see a list of those beds plus the world spawn and you just click the one you want. Handy when you’ve got a main base, an outpost, a nether hub, and a mining camp all set up and don’t want to hike back from the wrong one every time you die.

The number of tracked beds is configurable, and you can also toggle whether world spawn shows up in the list.

Manual Spawn Point Commands

You don’t have to sleep in a bed to add a spawn point. Two commands let you manage things manually:

/addSpawnPoint [player] [x y z] [dimension] – adds a spawn point at any coordinates in any dimension
/clearSpawnPoints [player] – wipes all saved spawn points for a player

These work for admins managing other players too, not just yourself.

Requirements

This mod requires Minecraft Forge. No other dependencies.

How to Install

Install Minecraft Forge for your Minecraft version.
Download the mod file for your version using the links below.

Launch Minecraft with the Forge profile selected.
