Pots spawn with no biome restrictions. They can appear anywhere in caves and hidden spots across the Overworld, Nether, and End. This makes the mod compatible with mods that add custom biomes.

Can I customize what drops from the pots?

Yes, the loot tables are fully configurable. You can edit them to change rewards, add items from other mods, or rebalance drops to your preference.

What's the difference between crabs in each dimension?

Overworld crabs pinch you for damage. Nether crabs will set you on fire. Ender crabs knock you around and can send you flying. Each has unique animations and sounds too.

Pots And Mimics adds treasure pots scattered throughout your Minecraft world. Break them open and you’ll find random loot, enchanted books, and other goodies. The catch? Some pots are actually mimics. Open the wrong one and a hostile crab jumps out ready to attack.

The mod spawns pots in the Overworld, Nether, and End. Each dimension has its own crab variant with different attacks and looks. Overworld crabs pinch you, Nether crabs burn you, and Ender crabs knock you around. There’s no biome restriction on pot spawning, so it works great with mods that add custom biomes.

What The Mod Adds

Treasure Pots

Pots spawn randomly in caves and hidden spots across all three dimensions. Break them for loot including basic materials, rare items, and enchanted books. The rewards come from configurable loot tables, so you can balance them yourself or add items from other mods.

Crab Mimics

Some pots contain crabs that attack when released. Each dimension has its own crab type with unique animations and sounds. Overworld crabs are the weakest, but Nether and End variants hit much harder. Watch your health bar when breaking suspicious pots.

Configurable Loot Tables

Want to change what drops from pots? The loot tables are fully editable. Add items from other mods, remove certain drops, or rebalance the rewards to your liking.
