What is Phonos Mod?
Phonos Mod adds real musical instruments to your Minecraft world. If you’re tired of just using Note Blocks, this mod gives you pianos, boomboxes, and different speakers to actually play music. You can customize speaker volume and create a whole music setup in your world. It’s perfect if you want to add a music room or concert stage to your builds.

How It Works
Phonos Mod replaces the basic Minecraft music system with real instruments. You craft them, place them, and play music just like you would in a real music app. The mod is lightweight and works well with other mods.
Installation Guide
What You Need First
You’ll need either Fabric or Quilt installed on your Minecraft version. If you don’t have a mod loader yet, check our installation guides below.
Step-by-Step Install
- Download the mod file for your Minecraft version
- Open your .minecraft folder
- Go to the mods folder (create one if it doesn’t exist)
- Drop the downloaded mod file in there
- Launch Minecraft with Fabric or Quilt selected
Optional: Recipe Viewer Mod
Since Phonos adds new crafting recipes, it helps to install Just Enough Items (for Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (for Fabric) to see all the recipes.
Requirements
Phonos Mod requires either Fabric API or Quilt Loader depending on which version you’re using.
