Why isn't the addon doing anything when I click a block?

You almost certainly have Beta APIs turned off. Go to your world settings, find the Experimental Gameplay section, and make sure Beta APIs is toggled on. The pack won't work at all without it.

Does this work in Survival mode?

No, the addon only works in Creative mode. You need to be in Creative to click blocks and change their states.

Can I use this with blocks from other addons?

Yes. The Permutation Manager works with custom blocks, not just vanilla Minecraft blocks. As long as the other addon is also active in the same world, it should work.

What Minecraft Bedrock versions does this support?

The addon is guaranteed to work on Minecraft Bedrock/MCPE 1.20.0 through 1.20.40, including hotfixes. It may or may not work on versions outside that range.

What does changing a block permutation actually do?

Blocks in Minecraft have states, things like which direction they face, whether they're waterlogged, or what age a crop is. Normally you can't set these manually. This addon lets you cycle through all those states freely in Creative mode, so you can get blocks into positions or appearances Minecraft wouldn't normally let you place.

Permutation Manager Addon for Minecraft 1.20 Bedrock/MCPE

The Permutation Manager Addon lets you change the block state of any block in Creative mode by clicking on it with a book. That includes custom blocks from other addons, not just vanilla ones. If you’ve ever wanted to place a block in a state Minecraft normally won’t allow, this is the script that makes it happen.

This addon is confirmed to work on Minecraft Bedrock/MCPE 1.20.0 through 1.20.40, including hotfixes.

How to Use

Install the addon using the .mcpack file below.
In your world settings, turn on the Beta APIs experimental toggle. The pack won’t do anything without this step.
Activate the pack under your world’s Behavior Pack settings.
Enter Creative mode and click on any block with a book in your hand to cycle through its block states.
If nothing happens when you click, the pack isn’t active. Go back and confirm Beta APIs is enabled.

Beta APIs must be enabled under Experimental Gameplay. No way around it.
Works with custom blocks from other addons installed alongside this one.
Only tested on 1.20.0 to 1.20.40. Use on other versions at your own risk.
