Old Animations Mod puts the classic 1.7 animations back into Minecraft 1.8.9. If you spent your time PvPing in 1.7 and hate how things changed in 1.8, this mod fixes that. Block hitting, armor hit colors, hearts, rod scaling, all of it goes back to how it used to be.
What This Mod Changes
Block Hitting Animation
The old 1.7 block hitting animation is back. No more 1.8-style swinging. If you do any PvP at all, you already know why this matters.
Armor Hit Color
When you take a hit, your armor turns red just like it did in 1.7. The visual feedback is cleaner and more readable in a fight.
Hearts No Longer Flash
Hearts you lost stop flashing. The 1.8 flashing hearts get distracting fast, especially in PvP. This removes that entirely.
Rod Scaling
Rods use the same scaling as 1.7. Small change, but it looks and feels right compared to 1.8.
Item Punching
Bows, potions, and other items punch the same way they did in 1.7. Bow punching in particular is a big deal for old-school PvP players.
