How do I install a one-command creation?

Give yourself a command block with /give @p minecraft:command_block, place it down, paste the command inside, and activate it. That's it.

Does this work on servers?

Yes, as long as the server has command blocks enabled and you have the right permissions to use them.

Can I use this with mods?

This is a vanilla command, so it works in pure vanilla Minecraft. Some mods might interfere with custom bosses, but generally it should work fine.
