MobHunting Plugin 1.13.2/1.12.2 for Bukkit & Spigot

Pay players for killing mobs with MobHunting. Money rewards, mob heads, bounties, achievements, and leaderboards for Bukkit and Spigot servers.

MobHunting is a Bukkit/Spigot plugin that pays players real in-game money for killing mobs. Add mob heads, player skulls, bounties, kill achievements, and leaderboards on top of that. If your server needs a reason for players to actually go out and hunt things, this one covers it.

Features

Economy and Rewards

  • Money rewards for killing monsters (Vault and Gringotts supported)
  • Optional money rewards or penalties for killing animals (disabled by default)
  • Drop mob heads and player skulls as kill rewards
  • Steal money from other players on kill (can be disabled)
  • Bounty system so players can put a price on enemies’ heads
  • Run console commands as rewards or punishments on kill
  • Kill modifiers that pay more for creative or skillful kills

Progression and Server Features

  • Achievements to collect across different kill types
  • In-game leaderboards
  • MasterMobHunters support via Citizens2
  • In-game signs
  • Mob grinder detection to stop AFK farming exploits
  • Learning mode that tells players why a kill didn’t pay out

Technical

  • Works out of the box, no config required to get started
  • MySQL support (optional, SQLite used by default)
  • Multi-language support
  • Tested on SpigotMC, CraftBukkit, Glowstone, and Cauldron

Configuration

Everything in MobHunting can be tweaked in config.yml. Base monster payouts, kill modifiers, achievement bonuses, penalties – all adjustable or disableable. The config is well commented, so you won’t be guessing what each line does.

Things you can change:

  • Base money per mob type (or turn it off entirely)
  • Kill modifiers and bonus multipliers
  • Achievement payout amounts
  • Penalty amounts for specific actions

Version Compatibility

Supports Minecraft 1.7.9 through 1.13.2. Separate builds are available for 1.12 and 1.13 below. Economy features require Vault or Gringotts to be installed on your server.

How to Install

  1. Download the version that matches your server below.
  2. Drop the .jar file into your server’s plugins folder.
  3. Start the server and let it fully load.
  4. Run stop in your server console to shut it down cleanly.
  5. Start the server again.
  6. Done. MobHunting generates its config files on first run and is ready to use.
