Can I use this mod in multiplayer?

Does it work on all mobs?

It works on almost all mobs, including Endermen. Some custom mobs from other mods might not be compatible, depending on how they're coded.

Can I use the launcher with a dispenser?

Yes. The launcher works with dispensers, so you can automate mob capturing and releasing with redstone contraptions.

Will my captured mobs despawn?

No. Mobs stay safely inside the capturing device with all their data intact, including health, equipment, and effects. They'll stay there until you release them.

Mob Catcher Mod adds a simple way to capture mobs and carry them around in Minecraft. Got a annoying creeper near your base? Capture it. Want to move a mob somewhere else? Done. The mod works on both Forge and Fabric and supports versions 1.14.4 all the way up to 1.19.3.

What Does This Mod Add?

Mob Capturing Device

The main tool in this mod. Right-click any mob to catch it, right-click again to release it. The device stores all the mob’s data like health, equipment, and status effects. Even works on Endermen, so you can safely relocate them without angering the whole dimension.

Mob Capturing Device Launcher

Fire captured mobs from a distance. Switch between capturing mode and release mode. In capturing mode, it shoots at mobs and traps them if you have empty devices. In release mode, it fires filled devices to spawn the mobs wherever they hit. Also works with Dispensers if you want to automate the process.

How to Use

Craft a Mob Capturing Device, equip it, and right-click mobs to catch them. The device works instantly. To release a mob, right-click while holding the device that caught it.

For the launcher, load it with empty devices for capturing, or filled devices for releasing. The tooltip shows which mode you’re in. Point and fire at your targets.
