How do I install this data pack?

Download the file for your version, then open your world in Minecraft. Go to Settings > Game Settings > Data Packs, click Open Pack Folder, and drop the file inside. Use /reload in chat to activate it.

Does this work in multiplayer?

Yes. Multiplayer servers can use this too. The server owner just needs to install it in the server's datapacks folder and restart.

What if I drop multiple items at once?

Each item multiplies independently. Drop a full stack and they'll all duplicate.
