This data pack cranks up mob difficulty to a point where even veteran players will struggle. Every mob in the game has buffed stats and a unique ability, and the Ender Dragon gets a full three-phase fight that makes the vanilla version look like a tutorial. If you’ve beaten the game and want something that actually pushes back, this one’s worth it.
Features
- All mob stats buffed across the board
- Unique special abilities added to every mob
- Custom advancements
- Custom music for the Ender Dragon boss fight
- Randomized messages throughout the game
Mob Abilities
Here’s what each mob can do now. Some of these are genuinely nasty.
- Bees (1.15 only): More aggressive, and they don’t lose their stinger after stinging you
- Squid: Fires homing missiles within 10 blocks, moves faster underwater
- Cow and Pig: Pseudo-explode when hit (no block damage, but still annoying)
- Fish: Poison skin on contact
- Bat: Drains your health
- Chicken: Eggs-plode ability
- Sheep: Explodes when sheared
- Dolphin: Grants you poison immunity and regeneration
- Pufferfish: Explodes in its final form and deals AOE damage
- Water: Poisons you until you’re at half health
- Ravager: Increased attack speed and knockback range
- Pillager: Quick charge, first 5 arrows are fireworks
- Vindicator: Gets a speed boost based on what material it hits
- Evoker: Faster spell casting
- Phantom: Blinds you when it hits you
- Blaze: Fire spreads faster, and it keeps its distance from you
- Witch: Teleports, releases bats when taking damage, nauseates on contact
- Slime: Slows you down and increases the chance of knocking you airborne
- Magma Cube: Releases lava on death
- Stray and Skeleton: Bleeding effect (half a heart per second)
- Spider: Shoots cobwebs
- Enderman: Traps you until you die
- Silverfish and Endermite: Small chance of triggering a horror world effect
- Shulker: Faster bullet speed
- Guardian and Elder Guardian: Blinds you on hit
- Zombie: Moves at the player’s speed
- Ghast: Dodges incoming arrows
- Wither: Explodes when it drops below half health
Ender Dragon Fight
The dragon now has three phases. Each one ramps up the pressure.
Phase 1
Once all crystals are destroyed, special endermites spawn. They’re immune to fall damage, don’t apply the endermite effect, and call down lightning when they touch you.
Phase 2 (100 to 600 HP)
The dragon starts marking the player’s position with beacons that get struck by lightning a few seconds later. The frequency increases as health drops.
Phase 3 (450 HP or lower)
Homing lightning bolts spawn and strike the player on contact. Endermen within 40 blocks also take damage to keep the game from lagging out.
