The Lingering Potion of Slow Falling (0:22) creates a cloud on impact that gives nearby players and mobs the Slow Falling effect for 22 seconds. Throw it on the ground and anyone who walks through it floats down safely, no fall damage. It’s also the ingredient you need to craft Arrows of Slow Falling.

Required Materials
You need two things to brew this:
- 1 Splash Potion of Slow Falling (1:30)
- 1 Dragon’s Breath
The Splash Potion has to be brewed first. Dragon’s Breath is collected by right-clicking with an empty glass bottle while the Ender Dragon is doing its breath attack in The End.
How to Brew Lingering Potion of Slow Falling (0:22)
1. Open the Brewing Stand
Interact with your brewing stand to open the Brewing Stand menu.
2. Add Blaze Powder
Drop blaze powder into the far left slot. This fuels the stand. Nothing brews without it.
3. Add Your Ingredients
Put the Splash Potion of Slow Falling (1:30) in one of the three bottom slots. Then place Dragon’s Breath in the top ingredient slot.
Wait for the progress bar to finish. You’ll hear the “glug glug glug” sound when it’s done and the Dragon’s Breath gets consumed. The Lingering Potion of Slow Falling (0:22) is now sitting in the bottom slot.
TIP: Hover over the potion in the Brewing Stand to confirm the name and effect before moving it.
Move it to your inventory. When you throw it, it shatters and leaves a cloud. Any player or mob that walks through the cloud gets Slow Falling for 22 seconds and won’t take fall damage during that time.
