Librarians are the easiest path to god-tier enchantments in Minecraft. You just break their lectern, reset their trades, and repeat until you get mending or whatever else you want. Librarian’s Balance Mod kills this exploit by actually making enchantment trades matter. No more mindless grinding.
What Does It Do
Limits Random Enchantments
Librarians now cap out at trading level 3 enchantment books. If you want level 4 or higher, combine two level 3 books in an anvil. This stops players from going straight from fresh world to fully enchanted gear in ten minutes.
Makes Mending Rare Again
Mending is arguably the best enchantment in the game. With this mod, librarians won’t trade it by default. You have to find mending books in treasure chests first. Once you get one, you can put it on a lectern to unlock mending trades from that librarian. Makes the enchantment feel like an actual reward.
Lets You Customize Trades
Place an enchanted book on a librarian’s lectern and their first or second trade changes to match that book. All those random enchanted books you find actually become useful instead of vendor trash.
