LibEx is a library mod you need if you’re using any of LogicTechCorp’s mods. It handles all the boring backend stuff so their mods can do the cool parts. The main thing it does is read data from JSON config files, which is how their mods let you add custom biomes to dimensions and custom trades to villagers.
What Does LibEx Do?
LibEx doesn’t add anything directly to your world. It’s a utility library that other mods depend on. If you try to load a LogicTechCorp mod without LibEx installed, the game will crash and tell you to grab it.
The benefit is that it gives their mods a standard way to handle configuration. You can edit JSON files to customize biomes, trades, and other features without needing to recompile mods or deal with complicated config systems.
Installation
Requirements
You need Minecraft Forge installed for your Minecraft version. LibEx is a Forge mod only.
How to Install
Follow the standard mod installation process:
- Download the LibEx file for your Minecraft version from the links below
- Go to your .minecraft folder (Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft, Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft, Linux: ~/.minecraft)
- Open the mods folder (create it if it doesn’t exist)
- Drop the LibEx .jar file into the mods folder
- Launch Minecraft with the Forge profile
