Just Enough IDs is a lightweight mod that removes the annoying block, item, biome, potion, and enchantment ID limits in Minecraft 1.12.2. Hit the ID limit and your game crashes. Use this mod and you just keep playing. It works by using 1.13’s chunk format while still running on 1.12, which means your game can handle way more stuff without breaking.
What Does Just Enough IDs Do?
Modded Minecraft has a hard cap on how many unique blocks, items, and biomes you can add. Load up enough content mods and you hit that wall. Just Enough IDs removes that wall. It’s one of the best solutions if you’re building a big modpack or running a ton of mods together.
How It Works
The mod uses a block state palette when saving chunks and switches the biome array from bytes to integers. This gives you way more room for content. If you’ve heard of NotEnoughIDs, this is the better version. You can safely remove it without corrupting your world, and it won’t conflict with as many mods.

Important Note

Compatibility
Just Enough IDs works with most mods without issues. Conflicts are pretty rare since it’s lightweight and doesn’t change core game mechanics. Most modpacks include it by default.
