Immersive Energy Mod 1.12.2 (Immersive Engineering Addon)

Adds thorium, tungsten, solar panels, and more to Immersive Engineering in 1.12.2. New ores, power tools, and armor for your tech playthrough.

Immersive Energy is an addon for Immersive Engineering that adds new ores, power generation tools, and equipment to Minecraft 1.12.2. If you’re already deep into an IE playthrough and want more to work with, this fills in some gaps the base mod leaves open.

What’s Included

New Ores

  • Thorium spawns at roughly the same rate as uranium. Crushing it gives a small chance of getting uranium as a bonus drop. The thorium block works with the Thermoelectric Generator.
  • Tungsten is rare. Craft it into railgun ammo for heavy hits, though it has the highest dropoff rate of any railgun munition.

Portable Solar Panel

Generates RF based on sun position, time of day, weather, and biome. Needs a solid block underneath to sit on. It bleeds stored power when it’s not generating, so placement matters. Break and pick it up and it keeps whatever energy was inside. If you have Serene Seasons installed, output scales up and down with the current season.

Hefty Wrench

An upgradable tool that doubles as a hammer. With Immersive Intelligence installed, it can also function as an Electric Hammer, though that mode draws power.

Environmental Suit

Armor that protects against most damage types. The protection works fully right now, but the model and texture are still placeholder. The recipe is also subject to change in future versions.

Portable Gas Burner

Runs like a Smoker but uses liquid fuels instead of wood. Works on any item that produces food or a drink. There’s a minimum heat requirement to get it going, but higher heat speeds things up noticeably.
