What resolution is this resource pack?

Gears of the Lost World is designed as a 32x resolution pack. If you install OptiFine, you can use higher resolution versions, but the default textures are 32x32 pixels.

Do I need OptiFine to use this pack?

No. The pack works fine in vanilla Minecraft 1.9. OptiFine just makes it run better and unlocks higher resolution support if you want that.

Will this work with shaders?

Yes, resource packs and shaders are separate. You can use this pack with any shader mod without issues.

Is this pack multiplayer compatible?

Resource packs only affect your client. You can use this on any server, single-player, or multiplayer world without problems.

What if some blocks don't have custom textures?

If the pack doesn't retexture something, it falls back to the vanilla texture. This is normal. Packs don't have to retexture every single block.

How to Install

Download the resource pack (see download section below)
Open Minecraft and click Options
Go to Resource Packs
Click “Open Pack Folder”
Drag the .zip file into the folder
Back in the Resource Packs menu, select Gears of the Lost World
Click Done

Using OptiFine (Recommended)

If you want better performance or higher resolution support, install OptiFine first. It makes HD resource packs run smooth and adds a ton of graphics options. Just run the OptiFine installer, then install the resource pack normally.

Minecraft Version Compatibility

This resource pack is designed for Minecraft 1.9 (Frostburn). It may work with earlier or later versions, but some textures or sounds might not line up perfectly with newer blocks. If you’re on a different version, you might notice some missing retextures.
