Fx Control Mod gives you complete control over player effects using a simple rule system. Instead of effects happening the same way everywhere, you can create custom conditions that trigger different effects in different situations. Want fire damage in lava biomes? Slowness in deep caves? Apply status effects based on what you’re wearing, where you are, or what time it is.
What Fx Control Mod Does
This mod works through five JSON rule files stored in your config folder. Each file handles a different type of event.
Rule Files
- effects.json: Apply potion effects or set the player on fire based on conditions like dimension, biome, time of day, blocks underfoot, or items in hand
- breakevents.json: Control what happens when you break blocks
- placeevents.json: Control what happens when you place blocks
- leftclicks.json: Control what happens when you left-click blocks
- rightclicks.json: Control what happens when you right-click blocks
Mod Compatibility
Fx Control Mod works with Lost Cities (adds rules for buildings), Baubles, Serene Seasons, and Game Stages.
How to Install Fx Control Mod
- Download and install Minecraft Forge for your version
- Download the mod file below
- Place it in your .minecraft/mods folder
- Launch Minecraft with the Forge profile
