Vanilla bone meal is fine for wheat and carrots, but it completely ignores cactus, sugarcane, vines, and netherwart. Extended Bone Meal Mod fixes that. It also adds instant-grow support when you hold sneak while right-clicking, which makes mass-harvesting farms way less of a chore.
What This Mod Adds
The main thing is bone meal support for plants that normally don’t accept it:
- Cactus
- Sugarcane
- Vines
- Netherwart (works underground in the Nether too)
On top of that, holding the sneak button while using bone meal will instant-grow your crops instead of nudging them one growth stage at a time. If you’re building any kind of farm setup, this is actually worth it.

How to Install
- Install Forge or Fabric for your Minecraft version.
- Download the Collective Library and place it in your
.minecraft/modsfolder. It won’t work without it. - Download Extended Bone Meal from the links below (pick the right version).
- Drop the mod jar into your
.minecraft/modsfolder. - Launch Minecraft through your mod loader. That’s it.
