The Yamato Moveset Mod brings Devil May Cry’s iconic Yamato sword into your Minecraft world with Epic Fight Mod. This addon adds a full combat moveset with normal attacks, power attacks, and combo chains that actually feel like the real weapon.
What You Get
Yamato gives you way more than just a new sword. Here’s the full moveset:
Normal Attacks
- N1-N3: Three basic slashes to get your combo started.
- N4: Your finishing strike. Hits hard with knockback and restores 15% stamina when you sheathe the blade.
Power Moves
- Power Dash: Costs 1 stack and 25% stamina. Moderate damage with strong knockback and armor negation.
- Combo 0 (Foresight): Step back and dodge incoming attacks. Restores 2 stacks if you time it right. Requires at least 20% stamina. Can link into Strike 1 or Strike 2 after a successful dodge.
- Combo 1: Heavy knockback hit. Restores 30% stamina on impact and another 30% when you sheathe.
- Combo 2: Second hit has 100% armor negation. Restores 15% stamina after sheathing.
- Combo 3: Massive damage multi-hit slash. You can spend stamina to keep hitting. Damage scales based on how many hits land.
Strike Moves
- Strike 1: Quick strike version of N2. Links to N3 or Combo 2.
- Strike 2: Powered-up strike version of N3. Costs 2 stacks. Links to N4 or Combo 3.
- Counterattack: High-risk, high-reward move. Costs 2 stacks. First hit has strong knockback, second hit restores 30% stamina. Can chain into Strike 1 or Strike 2 after the first hit lands.
Special Feature
- Exclusive Dodge: If you have the step skill unlocked, Yamato replaces it with its own exclusive dodge mechanic for better flow.
Installation
Getting Yamato working takes a few steps:
- Install Minecraft Forge for your version (1.16.5 or 1.18.2)
- Download the Yamato mod file from the links below
- Place the JAR file in your .minecraft/mods folder
- Make sure you also have Epic Fight Mod installed
- Launch Minecraft with the Forge profile
