Ender Pearl Guide – How to Find & Use – 1Minecraft

How to get Ender Pearls in Minecraft. Find Endermen, master combat tips, and discover uses like teleporting and crafting Eyes of Ender.

Ender Pearls are one of the most useful items in Minecraft. You’ll need them to find the End and they’re worth having in your inventory at all times. Here’s everything you need to know about getting them.

What is an Ender Pearl?

An Ender Pearl is a throwable item that teleports you to wherever it lands. You can’t craft them, so you have to find them the hard way. The only way to get Ender Pearls in survival mode is to kill Endermen and hope they drop one.

Where to Find Endermen

Endermen spawn in most Overworld biomes when the light level is 7 or lower. They’re pretty common at night. You’ll also find tons of them if you travel to the End dimension. If you’re in Creative mode, just grab them from the Creative Inventory.

How to Get Ender Pearls in Survival Mode

Step 1: Find and Attack an Enderman

Locate an Enderman and start attacking it. Don’t use a bow and arrow because the Enderman will teleport away before the arrow hits. Get up close with a sword or axe.

Pro tip: Back yourself into a corner so the Enderman can’t teleport behind you and surprise attack you.

Step 2: Keep Attacking Until It Dies

The Enderman will turn pink as it takes damage. Keep chasing and hitting it. When it dies, it might drop an Ender Pearl. There’s no guarantee though, so if you don’t get one, kill another Enderman and try again.

Step 3: Pick It Up

Grab the Ender Pearl before it disappears. You’ll want to keep these in your inventory since they’re useful for so many things.

What You Can Do With Ender Pearls

Throw an Ender Pearl to teleport to where it lands. You’ll take a tiny bit of fall damage when you appear, so be careful about where you aim. You can also combine an Ender Pearl with Blaze Powder in a crafting table to make an Eye of Ender, which is how you locate and enter the End dimension.
