Want more dogs in Minecraft? The Dogs Expansion Addon adds 8 new dog breeds to Minecraft Bedrock 1.20. Tame them with bones, make them sit, and have them follow you around. It’s basically having real pets in your world.
Dog Breeds Included
The addon brings 8 new dog breeds to choose from:
- Bulldog
- Bull Terrier
- Dachshund
- Pitbull
- German Shepherd
- Black Labrador
- Poodle
- Husky
How Dogs Work
Dogs spawn naturally in regular biomes just like wolves. They’re wild by default, so you need to tame them first. Feed a dog bones to make it yours. Once tamed, your dog will follow you around and sit when you command it to.
Untamed dogs can be aggressive. If you hit one or it spots a sheep, it might attack. This works the same way as regular wolves in vanilla Minecraft.
Installation
This addon doesn’t require experimental gameplay. Just download the behavior and resource packs below, tap them to import into Minecraft, then enable them in your world settings.
