DerpCats Mod is exactly what it sounds like: a bunch of ridiculous cats with attitude. You get cats that fart green sparkles, cats that explode when you look at them wrong, cats that work for NASA, and even a cat that’s literally a hot dog. Pure chaos.
The Cats
Fart Cat
Does exactly what the name suggests. Produces green sparkles when it farts, and it gets worse when you hit it. Don’t stand downwind.
Exploding Cat
Hit this one and watch it lose its mind. Keep your distance or prepare for a blast.
Grumpy Cat
Wakes up angry and stays that way. Rumors say it implodes when it dies, creating a massive explosion. Not fun to be near.
Companion Cat
The only friendly one in the bunch. Tame it with catnip and it’ll actually like you. Feed it more catnip to heal it. These ones are worth keeping around.
Mean Cat
Hostile. Aggressive. Will try to eat you. They hang out in forests in groups of 1 to 3, so watch for them. Don’t get within 20 blocks if you value your health.
Robot Cat
Beep boop. This cat is basically a walking computer. USB ports, HDMI, Ethernet, Wi-Fi antennas. Runs DerpOS v1.0 and makes binary sounds. Don’t attack it or weird stuff happens. Usually hangs around Space Cat.
Space Cat
Works for NASA. Loves mountains. Breathes through an oxygen mask so it doesn’t say much. Prefers high elevation areas.
Giant Cat
Massive. Slow. Drops a ton of meat when killed. Doesn’t spawn naturally, only gets summoned by the Old Cat Lady.
Spider Cat
Climbs walls. Peaceful vibes. Actually pretty cool looking with rainbow colors. Not as scary as it sounds.
Hot Dog Cat
It’s literally a hot dog in cat form. Bun, meat, the whole thing. Drops food when killed, with a rare chance of a mustard hotdog.
Old Cat Lady
Spawns tons of cats around her. Rare chance of spawning the legendary Giant Cat, so she’s basically the cat summoner boss.
Hop Cat
Just jumps. That’s its whole thing. Jumps and stands there. Very talented.
Crafting and Items
You’ll need catnip to tame and heal Companion Cats. Making it is easy: one wheat equals one catnip.
Craft catnip into a block with 4 catnip in a square and you get a catnip block. Break it and you get 9 catnip back.
Hot Dog Cat drops normal and mustard hotdogs. Robot Cat drops a circuit board that other robots will follow.
For full crafting recipes, install Just Enough Items (Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (Fabric) to see everything in-game.
Requirements and Installation
DerpCats Mod requires Minecraft Forge for your version.
Installation is straightforward:
- Install Forge for your Minecraft version
- Download the mod file for your version
- Put it in your mods folder (.minecraft/mods)
- Launch and play
