Death by Cactus is a PvP map by XX_PVPANDA_XX for Minecraft 1.12.2 and 1.12. The concept is dead simple: pick a perk, pick a team, and use your Knockback Rod to send other players into cacti. It sounds goofy, and it is, but it’s also a lot of fun with a full lobby.
What’s in the Map
Each player spawns with a Knockback Rod and a rulebook. The rulebook walks you through everything, so you don’t need to read a wall of text beforehand. Perks are chosen at the start and give each player a slight edge, which keeps rounds from feeling totally random. The team format means you actually need some coordination, not just frantic swinging.
Quick Notes Before You Play
- Only play on Minecraft 1.12.2 or 1.12. Other versions may not work correctly.
- Set your Render Distance to 12 or higher so everything loads properly.
- No cheating. The map is built around fair play.
- Works best with multiple players since it’s a team PvP map.
How to Install Death by Cactus Map

- Extract the zip file if it’s compressed.
- Move the extracted folder into your
.minecraft/savesdirectory. - Open Minecraft 1.12.2 or 1.12, go to Singleplayer, and the map will show up in your list.
