Do I need Forge or Fabric for this plugin?

No. ChestSort is a Spigot plugin, so it only works on Spigot-based servers. It's not a mod, so don't put it in your mods folder. Drop the jar into your plugins folder instead.

Can players toggle sorting on and off?

Yeah, completely. Players can use /sort to open a GUI and toggle it whenever they want. They can also enable or disable sorting for chests and inventory independently.

What containers does this work with?

It works with chests, double chests, shulker boxes, furnaces, hoppers, and most other storage containers. You can configure which ones get sorted in the config.

Can I customize how items get sorted?

Yes. Server admins can customize the sorting order and rules through the config file. You can create your own sorting categories and rules based on item types.

Is this plugin lightweight?

Yeah, it's pretty lightweight. It won't cause lag on most servers. The actual sorting happens fast and doesn't cause noticeable performance issues.

Installation
