What do Career Bees do?

Each career bee has a unique job. Miners dig ores, doctors heal nearby mobs, chefs cook food, and many more. They automate different tasks around your base when placed in apiaries with flower pedestals nearby.

How do I breed Career Bees?

Start with common and cultivated bees near a bookshelf to create student bees. Then breed specific bee types together to unlock new career bees. Use the Escritoire to track which mutations you've found, or install JEI Bees to see all breeding recipes.

Is Career Bees compatible with other mods?

Career Bees works alongside most other mods. It requires Forestry and Minecraft Forge. Some bees interact with other mod blocks like furnaces and anvils, so compatibility depends on your modpack.

Do I need JEI Bees to use Career Bees?

Career Bees Mod 1.12.2

Career Bees Mod adds a ton of profession-themed bees to Minecraft as an addon for Forestry. Instead of just generic honey-producing bees, you get student bees, doctors, engineers, thieves, miners, and tons more. Each bee type has its own unique job and abilities that you can use to automate different tasks around your base.

To get started, you breed common and cultivated bees together with a bookshelf nearby. From there, you unlock new bee bloodlines by breeding specific combinations. The mod includes an Escritoire tool to help you track mutations, or you can use JEI Bees to see all the recipes at a glance.

Bee Types and Abilities

Early Game Bees

Student Bees: Breed common and cultivated (need a bookshelf). Drones alert you when the queen is gone.

Collector Bees: Pick up items in their territory. Useful for farming without having to run around collecting drops.

Utility Bees

Graduate Bees: Can retrain career bees that lost their mutations. Place the bee on a flower pedestal nearby.

Armorer Bees: Buff armor placed on flower pedestals. Needs an anvil as a foundation.

Sharpening Bees: Sharpen weapons on flower pedestals. You get stronger tools without needing to manually use a grindstone.

Mason Bees: Convert cobblestone into stone bricks automatically. Great for early building projects.

Smelter Bees: Smelt items placed on pedestals. Set it up and let the bees do the work while you mine.

Farming and Animal Bees

Lumber Bees: Bite bark off trees without damaging them. Bark converts into logs for early tree farming.

Husbandry Bees: Breed animals together in their territory. No more manual breeding all your livestock.

Butcher Bees: Humanely kill grown animals while keeping breeding pairs alive. Fully automated meat farming.

Mining Bees

Miner Bees: Mine ores in their territory. They ignore Y-level restrictions, so you get ores from anywhere.

Silky Miner Bees: Mine with Silk Touch. Grab glass, grass blocks, or ores without the drops.

Fortunate Miner Bees: Mine with Fortune 3. Get way more drops from every ore they break.

Specialized and Advanced Bees

Police Bees: Attack mobs nearby and pick up drops with very high luck. Great mob farm automation.

Thief Bees: Steal items from nearby players. Good for pranks or PvP servers.

Yente Bees: Automate bee breeding by matching drones to queens based on their traits. Shift-right-click a Yente princess onto an apiary and it handles everything.

Repair Bees: Repair any items on pedestals. No more running to an anvil.

Ore Crusher Bees: Grind metal ores into 2x-3x dust. Doubles your ore processing without a furnace.

Magic and Late Game Bees

Doctor Bees: Heal any entity in range and give regeneration. Useful for keeping yourself alive in dangerous situations.

Chef Bees: Add honey glazing to food. Glazed food gives absorption hearts when eaten.

Artistic Bees: Create paintings and hang them nearby. Fun for decorating.

Rainbow Bees: Produce every color of dye. One-stop shop for all your coloring needs.

Science Bees: Unlock by breeding PHD and Industrious bees. Part of the advanced progression.

Clockwork Bees: Wind up Clockwork Engines for free power. Solid energy generation if you have the right setup.

Mad Scientist Bees: Advance science and occasionally cause explosions. Adds chaos to your base but only breaks blocks, not tile entities.

Temporal Bees: Speed up time in their territory. Crops grow faster, furnaces smelt quicker, everything accelerates.

Quantum Bees: Teleport nearby blocks of similar materials. Weird and experimental but useful for terraforming.

Energy Bees: Charge blocks next to their housing with RF. Generates power without fuel or resources.
