Does Build Faster Mod work in survival mode?

No. The tools only show up on the Tools tab in creative mode and the placement mechanics are built around creative. It won't do anything useful in survival.

What is the difference between the wand tools and the staff?

The wand, sceptre, and orb are for quick instant placements like rows, mid-air blocks, and block replacement. The staff is for selecting, copying, moving, and pasting larger structures.

Can I undo a placement if I place blocks in the wrong spot?

Yes. Left-click with the tool in hand to undo, and it supports up to 5 undos.

Do I need Minecraft Forge to run this mod?

Yes, Forge is required. Install it first, then drop the mod .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder.

How do I place more than one block at a time with the wand?

Put multiple wands in the same hotbar slot. Eight wands in a stack will place 8 blocks per click. Hold Ctrl and scroll the mousewheel to change the stack size quickly.

Build Faster Mod adds four tools built specifically for creative builders. Copy and paste structures, place whole rows of blocks at once, swap out block types, and build in mid air without scaffolding. If you do any serious creative building, this one’s actually worth it.

What the Mod Adds

Instant Tools (Wand, Sceptre, Orb)

These three tools handle quick placements. Find them on the Tools tab in creative mode. Put the tool in your hotbar and the block you want to place in the slot directly to its left. Right-click to place, left-click to undo.

Place a long row of blocks in a single click
Place blocks in mid air, no scaffolding needed
Replace all blocks of one type with another
Add a row to the top of curved walls in one click
Stack multiple tools to place more blocks per click (8 wands = 8 blocks at once)
Hold Ctrl and scroll the mousewheel to adjust quantity fast
Hold Ctrl while clicking for diagonal lines or diagonal fill
Undo up to 5 times with left-click

Staff Tools (Copy/Paste and Selection)

The Staff handles larger jobs like moving or copying whole sections of a build. Setup is a bit fiddly at first but you get used to it fast.

Right-click a structure to select it, then drag to reposition
Right-click again to stop dragging, left-click to cancel selection
Rotate and flip with Ctrl + mousewheel or Ctrl + right-click
Hold the right button to move, copy, or delete the selection at the current location
Hold the left button to undo
Use the Boundary Claw to control exactly which blocks get selected
