Bicubic Shader is a free RenderDragon shader for Minecraft Bedrock 1.19 and 1.18. It adds beautiful water effects, realistic clouds, and underwater caustics without tanking your FPS. The shader keeps things simple – you get better visuals without needing a beefy PC.
What You Get
This shader focuses on water and sky effects. You’ll see improved reflections on water, wave animations, proper ambient lighting with actual color, and a cool fake-3D cloud effect. Foliage and plants wave in the wind. The underwater caustics add depth to water without overdoing it. No crazy performance hit either, which is the whole point.
Main Features
- Beautiful sky colors and lighting
- Fluffy 3D-looking clouds (it’s actually 2D but looks great)
- Water reflects the sky and clouds
- Water waves and bump mapping
- Underwater caustics for realism
- Proper ambient and block lighting with color
- Plants and foliage sway naturally
- Works smooth, no lag
Installation Guide
This is a shader for Bedrock Edition with RenderDragon support, so installation differs from Java mods. You’ll need to install the BSBE RD Material Support pack first to unlock all features, especially the cloud and water detection.
