BetterEnd Addon for Minecraft 1.20 Bedrock

BetterEnd is a Bedrock addon that overhauls The End dimension with new biomes, mobs, plants, and materials. It’s a port of the popular BetterEnd mod for Java and brings the same creative spirit to console and mobile players. You get 15+ new biomes to explore, each with custom vegetation and unique creatures.

Note: This addon is still in beta. You might run into bugs, but the core features are solid and actively updated.

What’s Included

Biomes

The addon adds 15 new biomes to The End, each with its own look and feel. Every biome has custom terrain, fog colors, and creatures.

Lush Biomes: Blossoming Spires (pink forests with silk moths), Foggy Mushroomland (giant glowing mushrooms with aquatic life), and Lantern Woods (trees with floating lantern-like flowers) are great for exploration and gathering unique plants.

Dark Biomes: Shadow Forest is a dangerous zone with thorny plants and Shadow Walkers that can blind you. Chorus Forest has purple biomes with ruins scattered throughout.

Crystal & Mineral Areas: Crystal Mountains has glowing peaks. Amber Lands lets you mine amber ore in a forest setting. Neon Oasis feels like a glowing desert.

Water Biomes: Megalake has massive tiered lakes with colorful fish and jellyfish-like creatures. End Lily pads and coral fill the waters.

Unique Areas: Dust Wastelands is barren and minimal. Dry Shrubland has bushes and sparse vegetation. Ice Starfield generates floating ice formations in the void.

New Mobs

Passive Mobs: Dragonfly (glowing ambient creatures), End Fish (colorful fish you can bucket), Cubozoa (jellyfish that drop gelatine but have a poisonous touch), and Silk Moth (insect that produces silk fiber).

Hostile Mobs: End Slime comes in variants based on the biome. Shadow Walker is a dangerous humanoid that causes blindness. Phantom also spawns in some areas.

All mobs are designed to fit their biomes visually and mechanically.

Plants & Materials

Dozens of new plants add flavor to each biome. You’ve got Charnia in multiple colors, glowing mushrooms, custom grass variants, flowering plants, and more. Many plants are decorative but some drop useful materials or can be harvested for building blocks.
