What do I do if the Leave Bed button doesn't work?

That's exactly what Bed Bugs Mod fixes. If you can't leave your bed normally, the mod adds a Kick Me button to force yourself out of it.

Do I need to install this on my server?

Not necessarily. The kick button works client-side only, so you can use it on any server. The kick command only works if the server has the mod installed.

Will this mod work with other mods?

Bed Bugs is lightweight and doesn't conflict with other mods. It should work fine alongside other gameplay mods.

Can I use this on a multiplayer server?

Yes. You can install it just on your client, just on the server, or both depending on what features you want to use.

What happens to my chat messages?

With persistent chat enabled, any messages you started typing stay in the chat box when you wake from bed instead of disappearing.

Stuck in a bed and can’t get out? Bed Bugs Mod fixes that annoying Minecraft bug with a simple kick button and command. Click yourself out of the bed, keep your chat messages, and get back to playing in seconds instead of restarting.

Kick Button Feature

This is the main feature. When you hit “Leave Bed,” the mod just lets it happen normally. But if you’re stuck and the button doesn’t work, a new “Kick Me” button appears that lets you punch out of the bed.

Here’s what happens when you use it:

Singleplayer: Returns you to the world selection screen
Servers: Takes you back to the server list

Hover over the button to see a tooltip explaining what it does. The video below shows it in action, escaping a stuck bed in about 5 seconds.

Kick Command

If you’re running a server or want server-side control, the mod adds a command:

/bedbugs kick [player]

This kicks the player you specify. If you don’t name anyone, it kicks you. Tab completion is built in.

Persistent Chat

Ever start typing a message, then wake from bed and lose what you were writing? Bed Bugs fixes that too. Your incomplete chat messages stay in the box when you wake up, so you don’t have to retype.

Client vs Server Installation

You don’t have to install it in both places:

Client + Server both have it: Both button and command work. Best setup.
Only client has it: Button works on any server, no server-side mod needed.
Only server has it: Command works, lets players escape without installing mods on their end.
