How do I tame a warrior in Adaline RPG?

Give a warrior gold and they'll start following you. Once tamed, toss armor or weapons near them and they'll equip whatever lands closest to them.

How do I spawn the bosses?

Each boss has its own craftable summoning item that works like a spawn egg. Check the crafting recipes in the mod guide. The first hit on a boss will make it teleport to a random nearby location, so be ready.

How do I get dark matter?

Kill matter zombies or matter spiders, they drop dark matter on death. You can also build a matter generator using a dark matter staff surrounded by anti blocks, then feed it items via a hopper with a redstone signal applied.

How do the magic books work?

Hold right-click with the book in your hand, wait until you hear the sound cue (usually a dragon growl), then release. The effect fires in front of you. The Book of Apparitions works differently: just right-click the ground and Spectres appear to kill nearby mobs.

What do gem items need to be stronger?

As of version 1.2.8, adding lapis lazuli to gem items in the crafting table makes them stronger. Standard gem items use gem tool material, which you get by smelting gemstone ore into molten gem and pressing it under an iron pressure plate.

Adaline RPG Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4 / 1.7.2

Adaline RPG is a solid adventure mod that adds a lot to fight, craft, and collect. You get tameable warrior companions, several boss encounters, a whole dark matter crafting chain, and magic books that actually feel powerful to use. It’s an older mod but there’s a lot packed in here.

Warriors

Warriors are soldier NPCs you can tame by giving them gold. Once tamed, they follow you around and fight anything that attacks you. Toss armor or weapons near them and they’ll equip whatever lands closest. It’s a bit fiddly but works surprisingly well in practice.

Bosses

All bosses are spawned using craftable summoning items that work like spawn eggs. The first time you hit a boss after spawning it, it teleports to a random nearby spot, so don’t expect it to sit still.

The ArachniGhast

A massive six-legged beast with 300 HP. Fire immune, and it launches rapid exploding fireballs at you. Defeating it drops either a dark matter staff or a matter generator. Probably the most dangerous of the three bosses.

The Continuum Beast

Fast and hits hard, but no ranged attack, so you can kite it. 300 HP. Drops Time Essence on death, which you need to craft the Clockwork Rifle.

The Lightning King

When he spots you, he starts summoning zombies and skeletons as backup. If you hear thunder, he’s seen you and reinforcements are coming. 300 HP, drops either a giant anti sword or a book of lightning.

Magic Books and Pendants

Book of Apparitions

Craft it by combining Soul Essence (dropped by ghost mobs that spawn at night) with an enchanted book. Right-click the ground and Spectres will appear and start killing nearby hostile mobs. You’ll hear strange sounds first, then shadows, then mobs start dying. Spectres don’t survive daylight.

Book of Fire

Surround an enchanted book with Flame Hawk feathers in the crafting table. Flame Hawks are birds found in jungles at night. Hold right-click, wait for the dragon growl, release, and a fireball shoots straight ahead.

Lightning Book

Same mechanic as the fire book. Hold right-click, wait for the growl, release, and lightning strikes in front of you. Shards for crafting come from mining lightning ore.

Book of Destruction

Used the same way as the other books, but the result is a lot messier. Explosions and lightning everywhere. This one’s actually worth saving for tough situations.

Flame Hawk Pendant

Crafted from string and fire feathers. Right-clicking gives you a short burst of speed and jump height. Good for escaping or closing distance fast.

Heart Pendant

The Dark Satyr is a dangerous mob that spawns at night and uses fire magic. Kill it and it drops hearts. Craft those into the Heart Pendant and it will instantly heal you on use.

Lightning Pendant

Made from lightning shards. Right-clicking gives 20 seconds of fire resistance. Simple and useful.

Dark Matter

Dark matter drops from matter zombies and matter spiders, which are stronger and faster versions of the standard mobs. You can also generate it automatically with the matter generator.

Matter Generator

Craft it by surrounding a dark matter staff with anti blocks. Apply a redstone signal and it converts items into dark matter one at a time. There’s no GUI. Put a hopper on top to feed items in and you’ll hear noises when it’s running.

Dark Matter Staff

A projectile weapon that uses dark matter as ammo. Has a strong flame and knockback effect on enemies.

Clockwork Rifle

A magic gun crafted using Clockwork Gears, which you make from Time Essence dropped by the Continuum Beast. Ammo is the Continuum Round, crafted from dark matter and redstone dust.

Anti Matter and Anti Items

Mine anti ore, smelt it into anti ingots, and you can craft the full set: tools, weapons, armor, and blocks. Anti blocks are needed for the matter generator and the giant anti sword. Anti ingots go into the dark matter staff. The anti sword puts a weakening debuff on whatever you hit.

Gem Items

Mine gemstone ore to get gem stones, smelt them into molten gem, then place molten gem under an iron pressure plate in the crafting table to get gem tool material. From there you can craft tools and armor using standard recipes plus a double-sided axe with its own recipe. Adding lapis lazuli to gem items (version 1.2.8 and up) makes them stronger.

Summoning Wolves

Craft a summon item from wooden rods and the “Undead” item. Use it like a spawn egg to call a wolf, and it also gives you 5 bones to tame it right away.

How to Install

Download and install Minecraft Forge for your Minecraft version.
Download the mod file from the links below.
Open your .minecraft folder and go into the mods folder. If it doesn’t exist yet, create it.
Drop the downloaded .jar file into the mods folder.
Launch Minecraft using the Forge profile.
