3D Maneuver Gear Mod

Want to fly around like you’re in Attack on Titan? This mod adds the iconic 3D Maneuver Gear from the anime. Equip it, grab your blades, and start grappling onto buildings and cliffs to swing through the air. It’s way more fun than it sounds.

What You Get

The 3D Maneuver Gear comes as two pieces. You wear the main gear in your belt slot, and you carry the handles in your hands (one in each hand). The handles are where the action happens. You use them to fire grappling hooks, equip blades, and swing around like a badass.

Here’s the basic combat setup:

• Left click your left handle to swing the left blade
• Right click your right handle to swing the right blade
• Blades come from holsters on your gear, so you need to craft and equip them first
• Hit enemies with an equipped blade. Swinging without a blade won’t damage anything.

How Grappling Works

Shift-click to fire a grapple hook from whichever handle you use. Do it again to reel yourself in and zip toward whatever you hooked. You can grapple onto buildings, trees, cliffs, basically anything solid. The gear costs Redstone Flux (RF) to operate, so you’ll need a power source if you want to use it constantly.

The gear also has a built-in gas system. Hold Ctrl and jump to dash forward and get some air. The gas recharges over time as long as the gear has RF. If you fall from high up, the gear will automatically fire gas to cushion your fall. Fair warning though: you’ll take a lot of fall damage if things go wrong, so craft those impact-compensating boots.

Getting Started

1. Craft the gear and handles – Build yourself one Maneuver Gear and two Maneuver Gear handles. Use JEI or REI to find the recipes.

2. Equip the gear – Stick the Maneuver Gear in your belt slot and hold a handle in each hand.

3. Craft some blades – Make a few blades and put them in your holster by right-clicking while holding a blade (shift-right click for the left holster, regular right-click for the right).

4. Practice your swings – Click with your handles to get used to the dual-wield combat. Left click attacks with your left handle, right click attacks with your right.

5. Test your grapples – Shift-click to fire a hook at something nearby. Hold Z (left hook) or X (right hook) to reel yourself in.

Installation
