What Are You Voting For 2023 Mod
Minecraft’s parent company, Mojang, conducts a mob vote event every year. The event basically gives the playerbase a platform to vote for one of three mobs. The mob that receives the most votes will be added to the game in an upcoming update. This year it’s no different, Minecraft is conducting the 2023 mob vote with three new unique competitors. The one that wins will be added to the game in the next update. But choosing a mob without knowing how they impact the game makes the selection difficult. What Are You Voting For? 2023 Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) is here with a solution. What Are You Voting For? is a series of mods that is made every year to give players a sense of the mob voting competitors as accurately and early as possible. This gives players a chance to make better decisions while voting. Let us take a look at the 2023 competitors in detail.
Features:
Crab:
- Crabs are found in Mangrove Swamps, slightly rarer than Frogs, and can climb up blocks similar to Spiders.
- The Crab’s left claw comes in three sizes (small, medium, large), growing over time with a random increase between 5 and 10 minutes. They occasionally wave their left claws, with a 1 in 30 chance to drop the claw when fully grown.
- Crab Claws can be held to extend the maximum building distance by 2 blocks. Each use reduces durability by 1 (100 total durability, not repairable). Crabs cannot be bred.
Armadillo:
- Armadillos are found in Savannas, spawn in groups of one, and curl up into a ball when frightened, becoming solid like blocks, taking reduced damage, and being immune to arrows.
- Armadillos get scared by monsters, other mobs, getting hurt, players walking without crouching, players turning too quickly, or falling more than 0.6 blocks.
- Armadillos can be tempted and bred using Eggs. When a baby Armadillo grows up, it drops an Armadillo Scute.
- Four Armadillo Scutes can craft Wolf Armour, equippable to a tamed Wolf and removable by crouching and using the use button with an empty hand. To avoid confusion, Scutes have been renamed to Turtle Scutes.
Penguin:
- Penguins are found on Stony Shores, swapping between land and water. They can move quickly out of water, but are clumsy on land and may trip and fall when hopping down blocks.
- Penguins occasionally look at and flap their wings happily at mobs. They also approach and look at Players and other Penguins.
- Penguins can be bred using Salmon or Cod, laying eggs on land after breeding. Penguins attempt to sit on eggs until hatched, and eggs only hatch when Penguins are sitting on them. Unattended eggs may be claimed by nearby Penguins.
- When using a Boat near Penguins, they swarm around the Boat, speeding it up.
