Weakness Status Effect Wiki Guide

This Minecraft tutorial explains the Weakness effect with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

Background

The Weakness effect is a status effect that decreases the amount of damage you do to other players or mobs when attacking with a melee attack.

There are levels of Weakness such as Weakness II, Weakness III, Weakness IV and so on. The higher the level of Weakness, the less the damage you will inflict on others when you melee attack.

When the Weakness effect wears off, the icon and particle effects will disappear. You will be back to your normal status.

Duration

Depending on how you get the effect, the duration of the Weakness effect will be different. To see how much time is remaining for the effect, go to your inventory menu.

In this example, it says 2:40 under Weakness II so this means that there is 2 minutes and 40 seconds remaining of the Weakness II effect.
