Upgraded Mobs Mod
Vanilla Minecraftâs difficulty level is constant. In the beginning of your survival gameplay, hostile mobs that spawn at night or in dark caves may be a serious threat. But as you progress through a game, you will obtain high tier weapons and armor with powerful enchantments, and the vanilla hostile mobs may no longer feel like a threat. At this point, they are nothing but a small inconvenience that can easily be dealt with. If you feel like the monster fighting aspect of the game is getting too easy for you, Upgraded Mobs Mod (1.20.4, 1.19.4) is the solution for you. As the name suggests, this mod âupgradesâ the vanilla mobs by giving them new abilities and powers that makes them harder to deal with. If you want to make dealing with hostile creatures a challenge, install this mod. Let us take a detailed look at some of the changes introduced by this mod.
Features:
- All Mobs: All mobs will have an increased player detection range that allows them to spot and follow the player from distances farther away than in the vanilla game. Their movement speed is also given a buff, which makes running away a bit harder.
- Zombies: All zombies will now break doors, regardless of the game difficulty. Zombies will periodically dash at players. New bite attacks that deal more damage.
- Drowns: They have the same upgrades as zombies. In addition, they now swim faster and at times may attempt to pull players on the surface underwater to drown them.
- Elder Guardians: the new upgrades given to them, basically makes Elder Guardians a new boss mob. They now have 300HP, same as that of the wither. They will periodically debuff a random player with weakness, slowness, and/or blindness. They will turn invisible when their health falls below 50%. To compensate for all of this, the chance of dropping a Tide armor trim is increased to 100%.
- Evoker: They now have 150Hp and will get Regeneration 1 effect when their health falls below 50%. They will have one Totem of Undying in their offhand, which must first be broken in order to defeat them. Whenever an evoker uses their fang attack, it will also follow up with two more waves of fangs in the same place. To compensate for all of this, vexes now die immediately if there aren’t any evokers nearby.
- Piglin Brutes: Brutes have 75% knockback resistance by default. They will periodically dash at nearby players and they will also throw the closest player or wither skeleton high into the air. They have a small chance of spawning with random pieces of netherite armor, or with knockback on their axe.
- Pillager: Some pillagers will shoot weakness arrows or even firework rockets instead of regular arrows. Some may also have Quick Charge II crossbows.
- Spiders: They will periodically dash at nearby players. They will also periodically trap the closest player in a cobweb.
- Witches: Witches now have 60 HP. Splash potions thrown by witches have a 25% chance of being lingering potions instead. If a player is nearby, splash potions have a 10% chance of inflicting blindness.
