The Moon Mod
If you have been an avid Minecraft player, you might have come across videos where YouTubers fly up into the sky until they reach the moon. These videos are obviously fake, as there is no Moon dimension in the vanilla game, and flying up into the sky will simply get you nowhere. The Moon Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) is here to make it real! This mod adds a new Moon dimension into the game. To reach the moon, you first have to craft a moon portal. A moon portal is similar to the Nether portal in appearance, but uses endstone as the building block. Build a 4×5 frame using endstone. To light this portal, you need a special moon portal igniter, which can be obtained by simply placing a flint&steel item into a crafting grid. Once lit, enter the portal to reach the moon. The Moon dimension, as expected, will have lower gravity which will allow you to jump higher and fall without taking any fall damage. These effects are achieved using permanent player effects which the player will have only while in this dimension. The moon has very boring terrain with some lava pools here and there. There is a cave system underground which you can try exploring. All of this is made using some new blocks. Furthermore, you will find some new mobs wandering over the terrain.
