Strengthened Villagers Addon Mcpe
Strengthened Villagers Addon (1.19) lets you strengthen villagers with different weapons, not just iron axes. Also, villagers with weapons will spawn by themselves.
Note: Since this addon requires the Free Handed Villagers and Illagers addon by Withnout to work correctly, all images in the description were taken with that addon installed.
Features:
How does it work?
Strengthened villagers have a 25% chance to spawn naturally.
If the villager is not strengthened, you can strengthen them by giving them a weapon. The list of acceptable weapons is as follows:
- Swords (Wooden/Stone/Iron/Golden/Diamond/Netherite. Attack Damage: 6 – 10)
- Axes (Wooden/Stone/Iron/Golden/Diamond/Netherite. Attack Damage: 5 – 9)
- Shovels (Wooden/Stone/Iron/Golden/Diamond/Netherite. Attack Damage: 3 – 7)
- Pickaxes (Wooden/Stone/Iron/Golden/Diamond/Netherite. Attack Damage: 4 – 8)
- Hoes (Wooden/Stone/Iron/Golden/Diamond/Netherite. Attack Damage: 4 – 8)
- Bow (They attack in the same way as Skeletons. Attack Damage: 1 – 4)
- Crossbow (They attack in the same way as Pillagers. Attack Damage: 4)
- Trident (They attack in the same way as Drowneds. Attack Damage: 9 – 10)
Weapons provided by other mods/addons are not currently supported.
To strengthen them, follow this:
- Windows 10/11: Hold one of the weapons listed above, then right-click on the villager to strengthen them.
- iOS / Android: Hold one of the weapons listed above, then hold and press on the villager or tap the Strengthen button to strengthen them.
You can also strengthen wandering traders in the same way as villagers. Similarly, some wandering traders will spawn in a strengthened form with a 25% chance.
You cannot strengthen baby villagers until they grow up.
Naturally spawned strengthened villagers or strengthened wandering traders have a 25% chance to have their weapons enchanted.
After they are strengthened, they will no longer escape from zombies and illagers but will attack them instead.
They will also attack other monsters. If the difficulty is peaceful, they will not attack hoglins and zoglins.
If creepers are about to explode, they will run away very quickly to prevent the explosion.
If a raid happens, they will not hide in the house but will fight instead.
Please note that strengthened villagers and strengthened wandering traders are neutral mobs. This means that if you hurt them, they will attack you. However, villagers or wandering traders strengthened by players are not neutral mobs. Therefore, they won’t attack you just because you hurt them.
Strengthened villagers that spawn naturally will also protect villagers who have not been strengthened. Since they protect villagers in the same way as iron golems, if your popularity is too low, they will be hostile to you like iron golems until your popularity increases. Therefore, do not attack or kill villagers or iron golems to prevent your popularity from decreasing. You should trade with villagers, upgrade villagers, help them defeat raids, etc. to increase your popularity.
If they are injured, you can heal them by feeding them. The list of acceptable foods is as follows:
- Apple (Heal Amount: 4)
- Baked Potato (Heal Amount: 5)
- Beetroot (Heal Amount: 1)
- Bread (Heal Amount: 5)
- Cake (Heal Amount: 14)
- Carrot (Heal Amount: 3)

- Tropical Fish (Heal Amount: 1)
- Glow Berries (Heal Amount: 2)
If they are not strengthened, you can also heal them in the same way.
Foods provided by other mods/addons are not currently supported.
If they are killed by a player, they have an 8.5% chance to drop their damaged weapons. If villagers or wandering traders strengthened by players are killed, they always drop their damaged weapons.
You can also heal iron golems by giving them iron ingots, like Minecraft: Java Edition 1.15 and above. An iron ingot can heal them 25 health points.
Important Note:
Due to some technical limitations, you need to know these:
- Although naturally spawned strengthened villagers or strengthened wandering traders have a 25% chance to have their weapons enchanted, you cannot give unstrengthened villagers or unstrengthened wandering traders enchanted weapons normally. If you try to do this, though you can successfully give them weapons, all enchantments of the weapons will disappear. Therefore, don’t waste time and experience levels to enchant weapons in an attempt to make them have stronger effects.
- If a villager is infected by zombies then being cured, they will not stay strengthened. Therefore, you need to strengthen them again.
- You cannot give villagers or wandering traders armors to make them tougher.
- If villagers or wandering traders strengthened by players are killed by players, they may have an 8.5% chance to drop two identical weapons and cause the item duplicated.
- Wandering traders hold bows, crossbows, or tridents in odd positions. This may be a bug with the Free Handed Villagers and Illagers add-on.
Installation Note:
- 1. Go to the Free Handed Villagers and Illagers addon (by Withnout), then click Download (RP only).
- 2. Load them into your Minecraft. Since the MCADDON installation method only uses the first 10 characters of the “name” field in the manifest.json file as the folder name in the behavior_packs folder and the resource_packs folder, it may cause confusion for some players. If you are used to managing behavior packs and resource packs in the behavior_packs folder and the resource_packs folder instead of the in-game Storage feature, it is recommended to download the ZIP file of this behavior pack and the ZIP file of this resource pack and extract them into the corresponding folders.
- 3. Create a world and load them through the “Behavior Packs” and “Resource Packs” tabs. You need to apply both the resource pack of this add-on and the resource pack of the add-on it requires to make sure it works correctly.
