Spore Blossom Wiki Guide

This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft a spore blossom with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

In Minecraft, a spore blossom is a new item that was introduced in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part I. It is an item that you can not make with a crafting table or furnace. Instead, you need to find and gather this item in the game.

How to get a Spore Blossom in Survival Mode

You can add a spore blossom to your inventory in Survival mode by finding a spore blossom and gathering it. So, let’s get started!

1. Find a Spore Blossom

First, you need to find a spore blossom in the game. Spore blossoms are found underground in the Lush Caves biome.

Spore blossoms are pink flowers that grow on the underside of blocks in the underground cave systems. Spore blossoms drip green particles. This is what a spore blossom looks like:

2. Break the Spore Blossom

The game control to break the spore blossom depends on the version of Minecraft:

  • For Java Edition (PC/Mac), left click and hold on the spore blossom.
  • For Pocket Edition (PE), you tap and hold on the spore blossom.
  • For Xbox One, press and hold the RT button on the Xbox controller.
  • For PS4, press and hold the R2 button on the PS controller.
  • For Nintendo Switch, press and hold the ZR button on the controller.
  • For Windows 10 Edition, left click and hold on the spore blossom.
  • For Education Edition, left click and hold on the spore blossom.

The spore blossom will break and a smaller spore blossom will float on the ground.

3. Pick up the Spore Blossom

Make sure you pick up the spore blossom before it disappears.

Spore blossoms are useful items and should be kept in your inventory to be used later.
