Shield Mechanics Mod
Shield Mechanics Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.4) changes some shield mechanics. The shield can save us from death in many situations as a defensive-oriented combat item, but it’s still too unfair for an item with so much potential. So the Shield Mechanics Mod will unlock more of the shield’s potential, tweak the mechanics, and add a few new enchantments. The shield will now have two parameters displayed on the item: Damage reduction on block and damage reduction on holding; You can also customize the shield’s parameters via config. But the shield’s new enchantment will give it additional effects when cast; Blindness will potentially make the attacker blind, or Slowness will make the attacker potentially slow. Hopefully, with the changes and new features updated to the shield, you will use it more often so that it deserves what it gets.
Features:
Different shields will have varying amounts of block and passive protection.
It also adds 5 new enchantments which are applied to shields:
- Blocking: Increase Block damage reduction by 10%
- Last Resort: Chance to gain absorption hearts upon blocking on low life.
- Blindness: Chance to blind attackers on the block.
- Knockback: Chance to knock attackers back on a block.
- Slowness: Chance to slow attackers on the block.
