Sentry (Home Defense) Mod 1.7.10 Protecting your home!

This mod currently adds different levels of sentries to defend your home. These are expensive, but will be worth it once you manage to get to the Tier 4 sentries.

Crafting Recipes:

Recommend that you should install Just Enough Items (for mods using Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (for mods using Fabric) to view the full recipes included in this mod

There are 4 tiers of sentries. Tier 1 is the basic sentry, there are only three of them. You can upgrade these sentries into higher tiers for different abilities. The fourth and final tier of sentries are the most powerful, however they are also (quite) expensive.

There are two types of sentries: Defense and Offense.

Sentry Core

Each sentry you build requires a powerful core in order to succesfully defend your home. There are 4 tiers of cores to craft the 4 tiers of sentries.

Tier 1

This is the basic core. It is used to craft the first three sentries.

Tier 2

Slightly more expensive, you will have to work for the materials.

Tier 3

I hope you have a fortune III pickaxe.

Tier 4

Tough luck.

Tier 1 Sentries

Defender Sentry

Range: 7
Type: Defense
Description: Gives Speed IPulse Sentry

Range: 7
Type: Offense
Description: Damages nearby mobs (half a heart). Will take a while to kill something.

Frost Sentry

Range: 7
Type: Offense
Description: Slows nearby mobs (Slowness I). Also extinguishes nearby fires.

Dart sentry

Range: 7
Type: Offense
Description: Locks onto a mob and drops an arrow on it until it’s dead or out of range.

Wind Sentry

Range: 8
Type: Defense
Descrption: Knockbacks nearby mobs by around 1 block.

Sustainer Sentry

Range: 9
Type: Defense
Description: Gives Speed II and Regeneration IChill Sentry

Range: 9
Type: Offense
Description: Slows all nearby mobs with Slowness II. Extinguishes fires and freezes liquids.

Forcefield Sentry

Range: 10
Type: Offense
Description: Just an upgraded version of the Pulse Sentry: higher range, higher damage, and damages faster. Does 1.5 hearts of damage.

Barrage Sentry

Range: 8
Type: Offense
Description: Damages all nearby mobs. Does half a heart of damage, but will damage a lot faster than the Pulse Sentry.

Poison Sentry

Range: 8
Type: Offense
Description: Poisons all nearby mobs (Poison I) with the exception of spiders. Note that undead mobs and witches are immune to poison.

Ignite Sentry

Range: 8
Type: Offense
Description: Burns all nearby mobs. BURNNNNNN!!!

Projectile Sentry

Range: 9
Type: Offense
Description: Locks onto three mobs in range and repeatedly drops arrows on it until the mob is dead or out of range.

Windstorm Sentry

Range: 9
Type: Defense
Description: Knocks back all mobs in it’s range. Stronger than the Wind Sentry.

Protector Sentry

Range: 11
Type: Defense
Description: Gives Regeneration I, Speed II, Strength I, and Haste II.Smite Sentry – My favorite

Range: 13
Type: Offense
Description: Occasionally smites all nearby mobs with power of lightning! I wouldn’t use this in a forest or near anything that burns. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. I’d recommend putting a sentry from the frost category next to this sentry if you don’t want things to burn.

Execute Sentry

Range: 10
Type: Offense
Description: Damages all nearby mobs for 2.5 hearts. Now it’s starting to hurt.

Arctic Sentry

Range: 10
Type: Offense
Description: Gives Slowness III to all mobs within it’s range. Will extinguish fires, freeze liquids. It even gets cold enough for it to form snow around it! Has a chance to freeze water into packed ice instead of ice.

Blight Sentry

Range: 8
Type: Offense
Description: Gives Poison 2 to all mobs except spiders. Since undead mobs,witches, and spiders are immune to this, you can say it’s the most useless sentry. I would not recommend crafting this because it’s bad. It may help to kill hordes of creepers, but where would you find that?

Dartstorm Sentry

Range: 10
Type: Offense
Description: Drops arrows on all mobs in range. These things hurt.

Tempest Sentry

Range: 10
Type: Defense
Description: Knockbacks all nearby mobs. Stronger than the Windstorm Sentry.

Tier 4 – The Final Tier

Guardian Sentry

Range: 11
Type: Defense
Description: Gives Regeneration II, Speed II, Strength II, Resistance II, and Haste II. You’re pretty much invincible.Massacre Sentry

Range: 10
Type: Offense
Description: Damages every mob in it’s range for 5 hearts. Yes, 5 hearts. Now things just die when they get near it.

Permafrost Sentry

Range: 11
Type: Offense
Description: Slows nearby mobs so much that it can even damage them! These snow layers will vary in height, and does the same thing as the Arctic Sentry (freeze liquids, bla bla bla).

Hurricane Sentry

Range: 11
Type: Defense
Description: Sends things flying. Note that the power of wind sentries do stack, so putting a few next to each other will actually send a nearby mob flying out of sight.
