Revelationary Mod

Revelationary Mod (1.20.2, 1.19.4) makes it so that certain aspects of the game will be unlocked or revealed only if you meet a certain criteria or reach a certain point of game progression. The mod by itself does not make any changes to the vanilla game. It is meant to be used by designers of progression based mods or modpacks. With this mod, you will be able to use datapacks or the Revelationary API to reveal certain blocks only when the player reaches a certain point of progression in the game. As the developer states, a plain filled with stone will be filled with lush and greenery as the player defeats a boss mob. The possibilities are endless.

Features:

Data-Driven Block and Item Revelation System:

• Revelationary introduces a unique way to unveil new blocks in the Minecraft world using data packs or an API for other mods. This system enables designers to control the progression of the game so players are not overwhelmed at the start.

Progression-Based Discovery:

• Players can only perceive specific world generation blocks after achieving certain in-game advancements. For instance, an ore appears as regular stone until the player defeats a significant boss or reaches a milestone, making it visible and mineable.

Individualized Player Experience:

• Each player’s progression is tracked individually. This ensures that the revelation of blocks is based on their achievements and advancements, providing a personalized and immersive experience.

Flexible Block Disguise and Dynamic Properties:

• The mod allows designers and programmers to disguise blocks and items with cryptic names and properties until they are revealed. The disguised blocks retain the original properties, including hitboxes and light, providing a seamless transition. Programmers can use the Revelation API to dynamically change block properties based on player visibility, creating innovative gameplay elements like disguising a block as “air” until revealed.
