Nutrition Mod

Nutrition Mod (1.12.2) adds in effects depending on total nutritional value of foods you’ve been eating. Balance your diet and you can get very powerful! Neglect it and you can become malnourished. It ensures you eat healthy. Nutrition is a highly configurable mod to enable the creation of health systems in Minecraft.

Nutrition Mod (1.12.2) - Ensure You Eat Healthy 1

Features:

By default, Nutrition comes configured with the classic five food group system: dairy, fruit, grain, protein, and vegetables. However many different systems are possible. Some examples include:

  • A spicy tolerance bar, where eating enough spicy foods will grant a permanent resistance to fire.
  • A zombie simulation where you must eat brains to avoid negative effects.
  • Gluten intolerance. Eat bread, get sick.

New Potion Effects:

Nutrition adds a number of potion effects by default which you can use in your nutrition systems. Each effect supports amplifiers to increase their potency.

  • Toughness: Toughness is a positive effect which grants multiple buffs. Each level grants an additional two hearts, increases armor toughness, and increases attack speed. This is to give the sense of getting stronger as you become well-nourished. With default configs, one level of Toughness is granted for every nutrient above 90%.
  • Nourished: Nourished is a potion effect which grants one additional half-heart per amplifier level. This can be used to offer more control over player health, especially when combined with the cumulative_modifier field.
  • Malnourished: Malnourished is a potion effect which reduces one half-heart per amplifier level. This can be used to offer more control over player health, especially when combined with the cumulative_modifier field.
