Mob Grinding Utils Mod

Mob Grinding Utils is a mod that lets you build better mob farms. It adds useful blocks and items designed to work together, so you can set up farms that actually work the way you want them to.

Features

Mob Fans

These blocks push mobs and players in any direction, including straight up. Each fan can be upgraded with Width, Height, and Distance modifiers to cover more area. Place one block in the fan’s path to limit its range. Fans activate with redstone signals and work great for mob elevators and mob launchers.

Absorption Hopper

Automatically sucks up mob drops and XP orbs within range. The basic range is 3 blocks but you can increase it with upgrades. Has slots for 16 buckets of Fluid XP and a large inventory for items. Configure each side to push items to other inventories or fluid XP to tanks. Other mods like Ender IO can pull from it too.

Singularity Tank

A portable fluid tank that holds 32 buckets of any fluid. Keeps fluids when broken, so it’s easy to move around.

XP Tap

Attaches to a Singularity Tank and converts Fluid XP back into XP orbs so you can grab your experience whenever you need it.

Iron Spikes

Damage mobs and players when they touch them. Mobs drop their normal loot and experience.

Mob Masher

This block uses redstone signals to kill mobs and has tons of upgrades. Add enchantments like Sharpness, Looting, Smite, Fire Aspect, and Bane of Arthropods to boost drops. There’s also a Beheading upgrade that increases mob head drops up to 100%. If Ender IO is installed, it can drop Enderman heads too.

Boss Mufflers

Place these near a Wither or Ender Dragon to silence their death sounds and hide their boss bars. Great for farms that would otherwise spam loud noises across your world. The sound muffling has an 8 block radius. Boss bar hiding is per-player, so others can still see them if they want.

Fluid XP

Experience stored as a fluid. Can be moved through pipes and stored in tanks. If you have other mods that use Fluid XP like Ender IO, Mob Grinding Utils will use their version instead.

Mob Swabs and GM Chicken Feed

Want spawn eggs in survival? Use a Mob Swab on any mob to capture its DNA. Combine the used swab with seeds and Fluid XP to make GM Chicken Feed. Feed a chicken the feed and it drops a spawn egg for that mob. You can then use the spawn eggs on spawners to customize them. Note: mob variants like Wither Skeletons and Husks aren’t supported yet, and some modded mobs might not work if they don’t register eggs correctly.

Installation

This mod requires Minecraft Forge. To install:

Download Minecraft Forge for your Minecraft version
Install Forge
Place the mod file in your .minecraft/mods folder
Launch Minecraft with the Forge profile
