Minecraft Is Too Easy Mod | MITE 1.6.4

MITE mod turns Minecraft survival into a real challenge. New metals, hostile mobs, food system, and mechanics make the game harder and deeper.

Minecraft Is Too Easy Mod Overview

You want to mine iron ore with a wooden pickaxe? Not happening. MITE flips the script on Minecraft survival. This mod overhauls roughly 500 game files to make survival actually feel like survival. You’ll face harsh new mechanics, dangerous mobs, resource gathering that matters, and a food system with teeth.

MITE isn’t about hand-holding. It’s about making every decision matter and every resource count. If you want vanilla Minecraft to stop being a joke, this mod does the job.

New Metals and Mining

Copper – Your entry point to tool crafting. Smelt it, make basic tools, and start the grind.

Silver – Some creatures only take damage from silver or enchanted weapons. Others are vulnerable to it. Adds strategy to combat.

Mithril – Smelting this ore marks your entry into the Mythic Age. Incredibly durable and worth the effort.

Adamantium – The most durable metal in the mod. Found only at the deepest depths and requires the hottest furnaces to process.

Reworked Anvils

  • Six types of anvils (one per metal)
  • Anvils repair metal items only and each anvil is limited to items of equal or lesser hardness
  • No more combining enchanted tools to stack bonuses
  • Use metal nuggets instead of ingots (1 ingot = 9 nuggets)
  • Anvils last forever. No experience cost

Furnaces with Heat Levels

Different furnaces burn at different temperatures. Use the right fuel for the job.

  • Clay ovens – Bare-handed crafting. Good for cooking, too small for blocks
  • Sandstone ovens – Cook food, make charcoal
  • Obsidian furnaces – Use lava as fuel. Hot enough for mithril
  • Netherrack furnaces – Handle blaze rods, the hottest fuel source

Wood and charcoal cook food. Coal smelts copper, silver, gold, and iron. Lava hits mithril. Blaze rods are required for adamantite. Plan accordingly.

New Weapons and Tools

Cudgels, clubs, flint axes, and flint knives are your early game. Upgrade through the metals as you progress.

  • Daggers – Easier to craft than swords but weaker and can’t parry
  • Battle axes – Combine sword and hand axe functionality
  • War hammers – Durable and can mine. Stun enchantment available
  • Mattocks – More durable than hoes, can also dig
  • Seven arrow types – Flint, copper, silver, gold, iron, mithril, adamantium
  • Chain mail armor – New crafting option added

Exclusive Enchantments

  • Stun (war hammers)
  • Fortune (fishing rods)
  • Regeneration (chest armor)
  • Speed and Free Action (boots)
  • Fertility (hoes and mattocks)
  • Tree Felling (axes and battle axes)
  • Vampiric (swords, daggers, scythes)

Food and Cooking

You need to eat now. Your character has a metabolism and burns calories doing work.

  • Cheese, chocolate, salads, dough, soups, stews, ice cream
  • Cooking takes actual time based on recipe complexity
  • Rain increases hunger rate
  • Digging, chopping, and strenuous tasks consume food per swing
  • You starve slowly but can’t work while starving

New Mobs and Threats

Vanilla mobs just became the least of your problems.

  • Ghouls – Faster than zombies, cause paralysis
  • Wights – Immune to mundane weapons, drain experience
  • Invisible stalkers – Almost impossible to see
  • Demon spiders – Deadly venom causes paralysis and poison
  • Hellhounds – Breathe fire, set victims ablaze
  • Dire wolves – Roam snowy forests, aggressive
  • Infernal creepers – Explosion with more force
  • Wood spiders – Swarm forests, hostile during day
  • Shadows – Hunt light sources in deep caves
  • Fire elementals – Damage resistant, emerge from lava

Livestock Mechanics

Animals need care now. Neglect them and they suffer.

  • Livestock require food, water, sunlight, and freedom to thrive
  • Overcrowding makes them sick and unproductive
  • Animals find food and water on their own
  • They flee predators properly and seek shelter
  • Drop manure that works as soil amendment

Farming Overhaul

  • Onions added as new crop
  • Growth rate affected by temperature and humidity
  • Crops can blight, spreading to neighboring plants of same type
  • Distant crops keep growing naturally

Beds and Sleep

  • Healing rate doubled while sleeping
  • Nap during the day
  • Need shelter to sleep outside
  • Mobs can attack while you sleep. Secure the area first
  • You’ll wake early if hunger gets too low

Other Major Changes

  • Can’t harvest logs or stone with bare hands
  • Crafting takes time now
  • Player damage and digging speed increase per level
  • Item stacks reduced in many cases
  • Dropped items last a full day before despawning
  • Zoom feature (Z key) and run toggle (Tab key)
  • Skeletons are faster but have less health
  • Strongboxes are secure chests only you can open
  • Dirt caves in if undermined
  • TNT doesn’t destroy ore anymore
  • Gravel can drop metal nuggets
  • Tall grass can be silk-harvested
  • Fishing improves at dawn/dusk or during rain
  • Crops grow slower overall
